Byzantium and Islam Age of Transition

Y ya para terminar el día me despido con la siguiente exposición: Byzantium and Islam Age of Transition en el Metropolitan Museum of Art disponible hasta el 8 de julio de 2012.

Son una muestra de los pocos objetos que sobrevivieron del período bizantino y principios del islámico. Fuente de inspiración para la joyería moderna.

Fascinan no sólo por su belleza y hermosura sino por el hecho que eran usados por los cuerpos medievales.

Lucian Freud: Portraits

“The first exhibition of the legendary figurative painter Lucian Freud, the National Portrait Gallery's show spans 70 years of Freud's prolific career and his artistic development. It was produced in close collaboration with the artist, before he passed away last year.
